Arlington, VA RFP Proposal Bid Manager Job Summary:
The Arlington, VA RFP Proposal Bid Manager will have the responsibility of coordinating all phases of the company’s proposal process in response to commercial, utility, and government requests for proposals (RFPs). The ability to meet deadlines, a commitment to teamwork, and attention to detail are key success factors for this role.
Arlington, VA RFP Proposal Bid Manager Job Responsibilities:
- Develop project plans, timelines and responsibilities
- Utilize GridPoint tracking and database tools.
- Stay deadline focused and foster team-work.
- Provide project management with enthusiasm and high energy level.
- Facilitate strategy meetings with cross-functional teams.
- Gather, review, edit and draft content/materials needed for project completion.
- Analyze and translate technical information in clear, concise writing.
- Enhance work product by developing new, creative, more efficient ideas.
- Create simple, clear, strong and differentiating "elevator" messages.
- Review and revise documents using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Project.
Arlington, VA RFP Proposal Bid Manager Job Qualifications:
- Minimum of five years of extensive hands-on experience with project management as the project manager with full accountability and financial responsibility.
- Experience with Energy Management Systems, PV, utilities, and smart grid technology preferred.
- Working knowledge of nuances across small PV, utility-scale, and government (federal, state and local) proposal and bid process.
- Must be able to provide RFP writing sample.
- Experience working with and preparing project documentation such as detailed requirements.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with clients, management, end users and project team members.
Arlington, VA RFP Proposal Bid Manager Education/Experience:
A BA is required, and an MBA as well as a Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification are preferred.
