Alsip, IL Account Manager Job candidate: This candidate demonstrates a deep understanding of channel management for technical product sales into industrial markets. The primary responsibility of this candidate is to select, train, and manage channel partners to support strategic growth initiatives, (Tuthill expectation is 20% growth Year Over Year minimum as an organization and that sales targets are hit 100%). This candidate has keen understanding of sales channels to the chemical, petroleum, and energy and power markets including regional requirements. Proven product and application knowledge is essential. This candidate is expected to be a strong adherent to the Tuthill Business System and Conscious Company.
Alsip, IL Account Manager Job Duties & Responsibilities:
» Develop and lead a high-powered distribution group to support strategic growth initiatives
» Align distribution owners and sales champions to meet Tuthill expectations
» Use Tuthill’s Selling Process to strategically plan and execute calls to land new business
» Manage sales funnel to ensure projects close to support monthly sales plan
» Train sales professionals in relevant products and applications
» Sustain existing base of sales through customer satisfaction improvement targets
» Aggressively search for VOC opportunities to improve the fidelity of market/application knowledge and product offering
» Support channel with joint sales calls as required
» Prospect from Opportunity Matrix and sell directly to key accounts as required
» Actively send feedback to the Lake Room to support SUM fidelity improvement
» Embraces Tuthill Business Systems (TBS) and Conscious Company tools to accomplish duties and drive continuous improvements.

Alsip, IL Account Manager Job Qualifications / Training / Skill Requirements:
» Excellent relationship management and selling skills
» Excellent written and verbal communication skills
» Ability to communicate and interact with all levels of organizations
» Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond quickly to customer requests
» Creative and innovative problem solver
» Willing to learn and adapt to changing environments

Alsip, IL Account Manager Job Education Requirements:
» Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Business, or related field/experience.

Alsip, IL Account Manager Job Experience Requirements
» Minimum five years related experience in distribution management for sales of technical products
» Proven experience in selling fluid handling devices or rotating equipment preferred
» Positive displacement pump experience ideal
» Proven record of achievement of sales targets
» Experience with formal selling processes preferred
» Understanding of TPS (Toyota Production Systems)/Lean Manufacturing desired
» Experience working in a manufacturing environment
» Strong leadership skills
